What You'll Do:

• Applies systems analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software, database, and system requirements that support business and operational needs. 
• Administers and maintains enterprise database platforms across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring reliability, performance, security, and availability.
• Monitors database health, performance, capacity, storage utilization, and operational processing activities to identify and resolve issues that could affect service delivery.
• Independently investigates and resolves database-related incidents, service requests, production issues, and operational exceptions within established service levels.
• Performs database performance analysis and tuning, including optimization of queries, indexes, stored procedures, database objects, and configurations.
• Plans, coordinates, tests, and implements database maintenance activities, including software upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and platform enhancements.
• Maintains and tests database backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and service restoration procedures to support business continuity and operational resiliency.
• Administers and supports Power BI environment components, including Gateway infrastructure, data source configurations, credentials, connectivity, and deployment dependencies.
• Provides operational support for Power BI solutions by troubleshooting environment, connectivity, refresh, Gateway, and platform-related issues and coordinating resolution with the appropriate teams.
• Supports database, reporting, integration, and data platform initiatives by translating business and technical requirements into operational solutions.
• Participates in database migrations, system implementations, data conversions, infrastructure changes, and technology modernization efforts.
• Collaborates with Data Operations, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, vendors, and business stakeholders to support enterprise data services.
• Supports operational monitoring, process integrity validation, and early detection of failures affecting databases, integrations, reporting environments, and other data services.
• Participates in automation and continuous improvement initiatives that improve monitoring, reliability, operational efficiency, early-warning capabilities, and service delivery.
• Implements production changes in accordance with established change management, testing, approval, documentation, evidence retention, and rollback requirements.
• Maintains technical procedures, operational runbooks, knowledge articles, recovery plans, implementation records, system inventories, and supporting documentation.
• Provides technical support for audits, regulatory reviews, risk assessments, control testing, evidence requests, and remediation efforts.
• Supports database security, access management, data protection controls, and compliance with applicable security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluates database technologies, administration tools, monitoring platforms, vendor solutions, and automation opportunities that improve operational effectiveness and reliability.
• Participates in integration and orchestration improvements intended to reduce repetitive work, modernize legacy processing, and improve detection and recovery when processes fail.
• Participates in on-call, after-hours, weekend, holiday, maintenance, and recovery activities as required to support critical enterprise data services.
• Performs other related duties as assigned in support of Enterprise Data Management objectives and operational service delivery. 

• 5-7 years of progressive experience in systems analysis and database administration. 
• 5-7 years experience administering and supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments in production. 
• 3-5 years experience support database performance  tuning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, patch management, and production support. 
• Experience troubleshooting database, application, and connectivity issues in complex enterprise environments.  
• Experience supporting production incidents, service requests, operational monitoring, and service restoration activities.  
• Experience with T-SQL development, query optimization, stored procedures, functions, views, indexes, and database maintenance activities.  
• Experience supporting Power BI, SQL Reporting Services, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar reporting and data integration technologies. 
• Experience with data analysis, data modeling, data warehouse concepts, and reporting environments .
• Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated industries.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
