The Marketing Design Manager is responsible for leading the marketing design function and ensuring alignment with organizational brand strategy. This role oversees the design team, maintains brand standards across all platforms, and provides leadership in developing and implementing brand strategies. The manager directs agency relationships and budget management to ensure consistency, compliance, and effective execution of creative initiatives.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee and approve design work for digital and print media including social media, websites, packaging, advertising, and presentations, to ensure adherence to brand standards.
Oversee development and maintenance of templates, design systems, and creative assets to ensure brand consistency.
Direct collaboration among copywriters, photographers, and other creative resources to deliver campaign materials.
Monitor brand performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Conduct market and competitor research to inform branding decisions and identify opportunities for differentiation.
Define and maintain brand guidelines, including tone of voice, visual identity, and messaging frameworks.
Develop, implement, and manage the overall brand strategy, ensuring consistency across all platforms and touchpoints.
Manage creative agency relationships and provide direction aligned with organizational priorities.
Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports to ensure compliance with established processes.
Manage creative agency budget and advise on multi-channel advertising campaigns.
Ensure delivery of internal design projects within required time frames and quality standards.
Ensure adherence to internal branding policies and compliance procedures, aligning creative output with legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
Develop and enforce processes and workflows related to brand management to maintain consistency and mitigate risk.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma or similar design tools.
Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital platforms, and branding best practices.
Excellent communication, project management, and storytelling skills.
Strong collaboration and persuasion skills.
Familiarity with video editing and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro).
Experience working with cross-functional teams or in an agency environment.
