The Credit Effectiveness Specialist is responsible for processing loan applications in close collaboration with Wholesale Portfolio Risk Officers (PROs) and Relationship Managers (RMs). This role involves verifying client documentation, submitting applications into the appropriate credit channel (swimlane), leading the due diligence process, and uploading documents to DocMan. Given the complexity of the tasks, the position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently to support the team's objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Gather and verify required documents from clients, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
Confirm loan applications are submitted to the correct Swimlane (Credit Channel) based on established criteria.
Coordinate with sales, credit, and loan operations teams to ensure the smooth processing of loan applications.
Maintain accurate records of loan files, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
Participate in daily huddles, providing updates on the status of loans in the pipeline to ensure smooth progression.
Collaborate with the Relationship Manager (RM), Credit Support Associate (CSA) and Credit Risk Team to facilitate loan processing.
Complete the due diligence process for loan applications and upload required documents to DocMan (e.g., internal: OFAC, Credit Report, Experian, Sunbiz, LexisNexis, UCC; external: Environmental reports, field audits, appraisals).
Serve as the point of contact for managing the quality and completeness of loan-related documents.
Guide loans through the credit process while ensuring compliance with the Reg B timeline.
Assist with ad hoc projects and assignments as directed by the Swimlane leader (Risk Director/Risk Executive/ Credit Effectiveness Manager).
Strong knowledge of credit documentation, loan processing procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and loan management systems (e.g., DocMan).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
