The Business Analyst plays a key role in supporting the execution of sales strategies, monitoring operational activities, and coordinating efforts across Lines of Business (LOBs). This role translates strategic priorities into structured initiatives, tracks progress against defined metrics, and facilitates communication between business units and support functions including Risk, Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Finance. While the position does not involve direct client interaction, it contributes to performance enablement by ensuring consistent execution, timely reporting, and alignment across teams.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out repricing activities and support Net Interest Margin (NIM) expansion efforts for Commercial and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loan portfolios.
- Assist with the implementation of sales strategies by distributing initiative materials, performing quality checks, and updating progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Organize and maintain pipeline reviews, campaign schedules, team meetings, and performance tracking tools.
- Review and document business opportunities, assess lead quality, and route high-potential prospects to appropriate bankers.
- Track and report client calling activities, pipeline status, and closed deals to ensure weekly compliance.
- Coordinate with Marketing to support campaign execution and communication efforts.
- Support consistency across LOBs by following standardized processes for initiative execution.
- Facilitate communication between bankers and support teams including Risk, Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Finance.
- Assist with coordination efforts involving Assistant Regional Directors (ARDs) and help identify early warning cases.
- Monitor and log operational risk issues and self-identified items in collaboration with the First Line of Defense (1LOD).
- Track and compile findings and responses across LOBs for review and follow-up.
- Support engagement with Compliance and Risk teams to help address regulatory requirements.
- Observe and flag significant balance fluctuations for leadership attention.
- Prepare and format business review materials, executive summaries, and presentation decks for leadership meetings.
- Provide support in managing budgets, coordinating with vendors, assisting with resource allocation, onboarding activities, and team engagement efforts.
