The Loan Services Supervisor is responsible for the daily activities and supervision of the Loan Services Department and its subordinates. This position includes complex loan accounting transactions of the work flow and its processes, where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Works closely in the recruitment and selection process, such as conducting and providing feedback from interviews, recruiting within the budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings and ensuring proper departmental specifics for on-boarding.
Provides timely feedback to employees (check-ins, reports, annual evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary action).
Development of high potential employees, identifying, providing growth opportunities with training, meeting inclusion, shadowing, etc., in conjunction with the Center for Professional and Organizational Development.
Ensuring assignment and accomplishment of goals holding employees accountable, measuring results cross training, and eliciting innovation and process improvement.
Maintaining employee motivation engagement & recognition.
Inspiring employee commitment and integrity, modeling-cultural values and positive behaviors.
Managing over-time control in a timely manner, within the requirements of FLSA standards.
Ensuring, regulatory excellence in all aspects of employee responsibilities by monitoring regulatory expectation specific to each report and holding employees accountable to their specific regulatory responsibilities.
Manages the daily activities of loan servicing, including but not limited to; monitoring suspense accounts, Service by Others portfolios, Participation/Syndication portfolios, Loan Sales, Daily Rate Changes, Loan Transactions and Adjustments, SWAP portfolio, ACH & Auto-debits, Ticklers, SBA portfolio and ARD/Legal requests.
Manages the resources within the Loan Servicing Department.
Overall responsibility of the CFPB/Dodd Frank obligations to error resolution and requests for information, as well as other regulatory and compliance requirements.
Monitors and responds to Credit Disputes.
Manages new loan input, renewals and modifications.
Safeguards the Bank’s collateral and loan documents.
Monitors daily reports and independently takes corrective action.
Assists Internal/External Audit and Compliance Departments with requests.
Performs Loan Operations duties, as required by Manager.
Resolves loan related problems for clients, subordinates and officers.
Understanding of Loan System a plus.
Strong attentiveness to detail required.
Ability to handle high-volume, time-sensitive production and information.
