The Partnerships Marketing Manager (PMM), will work in City National Bank’s core marketing department while filling the need as the lead on servicing key sports and other partnerships across CNB’s sponsorship ecosystem. The position will report to the Managing SVP/Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications and will be supported by other key marketing leads as well as administrative personnel.
As a PMM, the employee will be expected to manage multiple tasks (across various internal clients in multiple categories), often simultaneously. Strength in communication across channels (mobile, voice and electronic) is a requirement as the individual will be expected to help support our key partnerships and liaise with our agency partners all while delivering upon the department’s goals and company growth expectations.
A strong sense of accountability and “attention to detail” will be essential in enabling the individual to thrive in this environment – while being considered for advancement within the organization.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-do-day management and execution of key partnerships, with emphasis on professional and collegiate sport properties, working alongside various agency partners.
- Assist the department to ensure fulfillment and execution of all sponsorship contract obligations/marketing assets across multiple partnerships.
- Work with manager and lines of business to develop products related to the partnerships, including but not limited to credit/debit card, checks.
- Work with manager and lines of business do develop offers for the various audiences and constituencies related to partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal and agency partners in special event activation coordination and execution, to enhance the City National Bank client/employee experience.
- Work with business units to coordinate utilization of tickets, suites and other client/employee entertainment across the various sports and partnerships
- Work to track (return on investment) ROI resulting from the partnership activations, email marketing and other activities related to the engagements.
- Possess the ability of being solution-oriented – helping to be forward thinking and anticipating any potential hurdles that may create a negative consumer/brand interaction. Candidates need to utilize a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Be highly skilled at interfacing direct with internal clients, agency partners and must present him/her-self in a professional, competent manner. The individual will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to quickly win the trust and respect of their colleagues, customers and peers.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks including composing correspondence such as agency memos, briefs, creating presentations, project timelines, and contact reports.
- Utilize an entrepreneurial approach in winning the respect of the individual’s team and supporting the department, while understanding the required balance of leveraging the company’s tools and following existing effective practices.
- Bring a creative and insightful approach to participating/assisting in strategy and creative brainstorming both internally and with agency partners.
- Experience building decks and managing projects from beginning to completion.
- Ability to build timelines and proactively forecast potential hurdles in order to stay ahead of the curve versus being reactionary.
- Have a passion and or knack for event planning / experiential / sports sponsorship
- Be capable of explaining & presenting the offerings and capabilities of the company (following on-boarding and training sessions). This will be essential when supporting the marketing department.
- Maintain and leverage skills at developing, monitoring and managing against budgets; showcasing an understanding of cost estimating and properly pricing a program/production within budget constraints, while remaining committed to delivering the company’s overall goals.
- Practice and ensure compliance with all of the organization’s policies and procedures.
